Samsung SE330 Review

Samsung’s SE330 budget monitor is quite stellar.

In our Samsung SE330 review, it was quite surprising for us to find a 27 inch screen with 1 millisecond response time for a cheap price. The monitor looks smooth and we never had any real complaints with it, except for the buttons being on the back-side. The 27 inch screen comes with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, but the image doesn’t feel stretched. The LED-lit screen color’s look great, but nothing to write home to mom about. The buttons being on the backs-side is kind of different for us, but it makes the monitor more visually appealing and modern. The bezel is quite small and looks wonderful. The Samsung SE330 is great for no glare as it’s not a glossy monitor, which does dull the colors slightly though.  The stand is sturdy and doesn’t shake that much and the monitor is wall mountable using 75mm x 75mm mounts. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac computers.

A wonderful feature that Samsung has implemented on the SE330 is the Eye Saver Mode. It optimizes viewing in low light situations or at night, but reducing blue light emissions and flickering. Reducing these helps reduce eye strain and can help reduce fatigue at night. The SE330 has an Eco Saving Plus mode on which reduces power consumption by 10%, and we sure do love spending less money on power.

The 1 millisecond response time is the greatest feature on the Samsung SE330. The 1 ms response time allows you to see images faster on screen clearly and helps provide a steady visual flow. A 1 millisecond response time is also ideal for gaming, and even though it’s not 144Hz it’ll still function quite nicely as a budget gaming monitor.

In our Samsung SE330 Review the one big downside we found was the lack of connections. The Samsung SE330 only offers 1 HDMI input and 1 D-Sub input. Not exactly the best for people wishing to use different connections, so double check and see if it’ll fit with your computer.
