ASUS VS228H-P Review

Our Asus VS228H-P Review

Budget friendly awesomeness

Our Asus VS228H-P Review In our ASUS VS228H-P Review, we were quite surprised at the quality of the ASUS VS228H-P. Coming in around the century mark, the VS228H-P is a very cheap budget monitor, but quality monitor. The options to include an arm mount, or two, out of the box is really awesome to help build unique display setups. While the VS228H-P is nothing extraordinary, it doesn’t really lack in any category. It’s 21.5 inch 1080p screen looks nice, but may be a bit tad small for some users. The stand is very sturdy and the half metal base keeps it very rigid and upright.

The monitor stand is very  sturdy and quite sleek

Our ASUS VS228H-P review showed a fantastic budget monitor, yet there are some kinks to be worked out. The adaptive contrast technology automatically changes the contrast in dark areas of the screen to help improve vision. This is both good and bad, as it’s great for everyday use, but for gamers it can be a bit distracting especially when playing darker games.

The ASUS VS228H-P’s display looks great

The LED display of the ASUS VS228H-P is great for most situations as well. The colors look great across the various applications we tested it in, but occasionally the reds wash out and appear orange-ish. The 21.5 inch base version comes with a 5 millisecond response time, which while not the fastest, is more than enough for most computer users.

By far the biggest pro to the ASUS VS228H-P is the amount of options you can choose. The default 21.5” version is wonderful for budget friendly users. For just a few bucks more on each step, ASUS offers 23 inch, 24 inch, and a 27 inch version. Each has increasing specs, and all feel very good for the price ranges. Like we mentioned earlier, you can also order arm mounts to attach it and completely customize your display area.
