Is the Acer Predator XB241H worth it?

First of all, WOW, our top rated gaming monitor looks absolutely killer. The Acer predator is a beauty to behold, and it’s got the performance to back up it’s dashing looks. In our Acer Predator XB241H review, we were quite stunned by how great this thing was. The Acer Predator XB241H comes in at a nice 24 inches at the standard 1920 x 1080 resolution. It features NVIDIA G-Sync display, which allows your monitor to sync with the GPU(graphics processing unit or graphics card) to eliminate screen tearing and reducing input lag. The Ultra Low Motion Blur technology allows moving objects on screen to appear sharp as a tack without any ghosting.

The ergo-stand of the Acer Predator XB241H allows the monitor to swivel and tilt in any direction which allows the user to customize their viewing angle. VESA compatible mounting is a nice touch for users who wish to mount this beauty on their walls instead. Not to mention the stand just looks awesome.

The display of the XB241H is on a TN panel, which allows for lower response times, and is good for everyday use outside of gaming. The response time is a blistering 1 millisecond, can you say fast? It offers up to 180Hz refresh rate which will eliminate ghosting in even the best of machines. The colors look fantastic and the contrast ratio is perfect for gaming. You won’t have any trouble seeing the enemies hiding in the bushes with this gaming monitor. The monitor is even NVIDIA 3D ready which allows users to experience games and content like they never have before.

In our Acer Predator XB241H review, we tested it in a few big titles such as Counter-Strike: Global offensive, World of Warcraft, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Heroes of the Storm. We experienced no stuttering and no lagginess in any of the games. The response rate was great, and even felt like it made us preform better in CS:GO. It felt like we could react faster and movements in game felt way smoother than our previous monitor. The contrast ratio worked just great for all the flash bangs we had to deal with as rushed B on dust2 all day.

  1. Hey man I just wanted to say that I saw you said it preformed great in CS:GO. I’m trying to work my way up the ladder and was using a crappy budget $70 lcd. Going from 60hz to 144hz blew my mind. Honestly it’s unreal how fast I can react to situations now. It’s like I’m playing on easy.

    1. Glad you’re enjoying it bud! During our play test with it, we probably spent the majority of our time playing CS:GO, and went up a few divisions during the time. One of the guys went from silver elite to lem during it. He probably spent too much time testing it on CS:GO now that I think about it.
