Terrible Device May 28, 2010 Ok, so many people will say that you cannot base a review of off one device. However, bare this in mind as you read my review, I went on SanDisk message boards and found HUNDREDS of other users witht he EXACT same issue as me. I even post a statement about this product on facebook and had 4 friends all write me abck and tell me they had the same issue with their device.
ok so on to the problem. This is what you can expect from this propduct, it is very fast, it looks cool, it has passowrd ability...but not really. See, you make a passowrd, set a hint in case you forget and then POOF it forgets your password and tells you that you have entered the wrong passwrod over and over again. Now, like anyone I make mistake entering passwrods, however, I know this passord by heart and enetered it over and over again. I even took a picture of the password I wrote down in case I forget it. I checked my camera phone to see that I spelled the password right, yup sure did. So basically, what will happen is you transfer files onto this little POS device and it breaks, and your files are forever lost to it.
in other words, SKIP it and buy a different USB drive. I promise you yours will break within days of using it.
It's fast and I love it! May 04, 2010 I've tried several brands of flash drive, and the Cruzer Countour is the fastest one I've found. Unlike many other cheaper brands which won't advertise their speed, this Contour works as advertised and is what I needed to transfer large files without falling asleep in the process. While opening and closing the device takes a little getting used to, it's nice to be able to forget about losing the cap.

Slowest flash drive on the planet. Apr 12, 2010 Slowest flash drive on the planet.
Absolutely the slowest flash drive I have ever used, with no exception, and I have had many such drives.
This is the slowest of all of them. Does not smoke or catch on fire spontaneously, though, so it does have one positive attribute.
Buy a different drive. Check the read and write speed before paying for it.

hardware failure Dec 21, 2009 Loses operating system recognition after being active ( say as it gets formatted ) continuously for a minute or two. In this case, windows all of a sudden will find the drive unresponsive and unmounts the drive. An attempt at reformatting the drive resulted in windows giving up after only about 2% of the drive being formatted.
It was used less than 50 times before this happened.

fast enough Aug 20, 2009 I bought this flash drive I read teh other review.
To be honest this USB flash drive it is what I was expected.
Very fast and solid.
Only little problem is the way it opens and closes some time you need to apply some strenght and this on the long run might cause serious problem as it might broke.
