5Perfectly satisfied  Jan 06, 2009
Perfectly satisfied - great for TV, amazing monitor.
Cons: sound could be better. I'm using my computer speakers instead cause it's better.
Comcast universal remote working in annoying way with it. But maybe it's Comcast's failure. (Sound cannot be changed continuously, just by pressing one-by-one. Samsung remote very good by the way, but if your cable tv company provides a box with a remote you have to use that one to change the channels. Now we need to use both, one for changing the channels, one for setting the volume. Very annoying, but I'm sure the reason is Comcast.

4Great multi tasking monitor option  Jan 06, 2009
I purchased this monitor about two months ago and have been very pleased with the unit. The main thing that distinguished this unit from others that I was looking at was that it was not just a monitor with an additional RCA video in or a TV with a D-Sub computer input. I can say that this unit is actually both and I am not aware of another that does both jobs as well as this one. The unit has multiple computer inputs (D-Sub and DVI) as well as multiple TV inputs (2 HDMI, RCA, and Coax). To top it off, it even has an HD tuner built in, remote control, and also built in speakers. I also have to mention that the tuner picked up HD channels over my current cable line that my Tivo wouldn't pick up without a cable card.

Now that I finished the complements, here are the things I didnt like. First, as a TV, the images can be sharper and crisper. While Samsung does have another line that has a better TV image, I don't think the performance as computer display suffers. Second, the speakers are very rudimentary, but hey, at least it has it so you don't have to turn on the comp speakers just to watch TV. Thrid, the remote control is pretty cheap and does not match the presentation of this monitor, especially since the unit is supposed to look classy and elegant (it looks like the remotes you see at Walgreens for $5 near the registers). My last two nit picks is that the power button on the unit that doesn't respond so well. As another post mentioned, it is better to use the "ugly" remote to turn the unit on. Lastly, in the age of everyone hanging LCD's from the wall, I didn't like the fact that an adapter for a VESA mount wan't included, even worst it is difficult to find the adapter for purchase. After doing some research, there is a wall mount adapter (model # WMB2400T)available, unfortuanately, right when I was going to order it here, it is no longer available, but some other retailers are still carrying it.

4Nice Monitor  Jan 05, 2009
- Great looking monitor
- PC graphics look great (using DVI) but it took me a lot of customization and color tweaking. Make sure your graphics card handles that high of a resolution since the 26" is pretty big.
- It may seem too bright to you first or even the picture may seem washed out (or bluish); that's why tweaking is required to your liking. You can make it look great and sharp after the customizations using the monitor's menu and the software it comes with
- HD looks pretty good but not great (using XBOX 360 with HDMI and HD Antenna with coax)
- This is the best choice I found for PC-Monitor/HD-TV solution. Get this only if you want it for both usages.
- Great size
- Great set of features and many available connections
- You can connect it to a stereo using the headphone (mini-plug) jack that is on the side of the monitor (wire will stick out just a little but no big deal). Otherwise, you can connect it using the optical (toslink aka SPDIF) output on the back of the monitor if your stereo is capable..
- Built-in speakers are so-so since they're very small but I don't use them anyway
- DVDs (via PC) and Netflix Instant Watch look great

4T260HD: Excellent Monitor, Very Good TV  Jan 04, 2009
I have always been intrigued by "dual use" products, knowing full-well that some compromises must be made to serve two masters, rather than just the primary. Probably the same story here! I built a new PC in early December and needed a monitor to use while 'setting up' the new PC, so popped for the 260HD. As a PC monitor, it is close to the quality of my Dell 24-inch 2408WFP, certainly acceptable to good. The actual 25.5 screen seems noticeable larger than the Dell 24, which is "nice" but not necessarily 'essential'. I mean, rather than just move your EYES, you now have to TURN your HEAD!!! But it is quick, responsive, text is easy to read, and photos are brilliant. Overall, an Excellent monitor. It is now in the bedroom being used with Comcast digital TV. It works, looks very good, but I keep comparing it sub-consciously to my Samsung 61" DLP which is STUNNING when displaying a Hi-Def broadcast. I know that's unfair, so I still rate it as a very good TV. BEWARE: there is no provision on the back of the 'case' for WALL MOUNTING. At $500 on Amazon.com this is a deal!

4Great display  Jan 02, 2009
If your viewing distance is between 3 and 10 feet, this is the display for you. Picture is excellent with quick response for viewing live sports. It comes with the color set a little on the warm side, but the (limited) adjustment options are easy to use. Speakers are little better than internal PC speakers. If you're using this on a PC, you probably will use your PCs external speakers anyway. If you're using it as a standalone display, you will want to connect your cable box to a home theater system. I connected it to a spare 2.1 speaker system via the side headphone jack with great results. The only way to get around having the headphone plug stick out the side is to get a Toslink-equipped speaker system (expensive). Would recommend this display highly for a small room.
