I love this monitor its bright big and very crisp the difference between my old laptop monitor and this is ASTOUNDING!
 bad contrast/color Jan 16, 2010
I chose this monitor for it's clarity and sharpness, since I do vector graphics. Lines look great. I've had it for just over a year. The last 3 or 4 months, it's developed a noticable graduated shadow from the top down, and the colors also graduate from the top down with a distict greenish tint. I bought a new video card and a color calibration device, to try to get the color accuracy and contrast back, but am unable to do so. I work with graphics. Colors and contrast are very important in my work. I wrote to Samsung. It appears I'll have to return it to the factory. No thanks! I'm finished messing with it. I'll throw it out and buy a different brand. Going to try an HP. This Samsung monitor is beautiful to behold, but it's performance is less than ideal. I don't recommend it for graphic work.

So I bought this monitor to be used with my laptop. And I am deeply impressed with it. It looks good. It was easy to assemble. Super crisp and clear. You cannot go wrong this monitor.
The only bad thing is that it wobbles a bit. Doesn't bother me as much, but maybe Samsung could fix this with a better stand.

I have had to return this monitor TWICE due to power problems. Both times the monitor seemed to be dioing just fine then POOF it went off and would not come back on no matter which outlet or power cord I used. The first time I had it repaired it worked for a few months. But, just today when I received it from the repair service for the second time, IT STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. So I called Samsung and they offered me a refund or a replacement. I requested a refund since I don't need any more of these monitors.

I bought this monitor about 9 months ago. Absolutely loved it, but it got to where it woundn't wake up when I moved my mouse. I had to hit the power button a few times to get it to work again. Samsung has a list of tests they want the consumer to do before calling them. This involves trying different cables and computors to narrow down the problem. After about a week of hitting the power button it stopped working all together. I had to send it to NJ to get it repaired. When I got it back it worked fine but the Bezel was broken. After callin Samsung they have decided that UPS has to be called because they delivered it, althou there is no damage to the box it was shipped in. I am very dissapointed in the way Samsung has handled this and I am still waiting for it to be repaired or replaced.
