Just what I was looking for Aug 20, 2010 I was looking for a small, simple but cool-looking flash drive, and when I bought it, it was exactly as it's pictured. I haven't had any problems with it and I've been using it since October 2009. I used it mainly for storing word documents and powerpoints etc. for school, and it works fine on both mac and windows. I really like the look of it, and I haven't had any issues with the slider. You can tell it would probably be easy to break, so I keep it in one of those Mini Altoids cans (i ate all the mints and folded up a tissue and let it sit there so it doesn't slide around) and it fits perfectly! And nobody will steal it because they think the Altoids can just has mints in it. Even though it has a keychain thing on it, I wouldn't recommend sticking it on a keychain because it'll probably break.
great Jul 30, 2010 I have a medical condition and need something to put all info incase I could not speak for myself. This fit the bill.
Thanks
Uh... nope. Jun 22, 2010 Hey, it's just a flash drive, right? Plugged the little sucker in, and.... voila! Nothing happened. So, I tried it in 2 other systems running different OS's, nothing. So, I checked out the packaging, and they recommend visiting the website - I figured maybe it needed a utility to format it or something stupid like that, that some manufacturers do these days.
Went there, and yes there's a utility for the drive... in a .zip file with a trojan in it.
FAIL. Sending this POS back, pronto. Not recommended.
Pros and Cons Jun 15, 2009 I've had this drive for about 8 months, and the physical drive is working fine. I was suspicious about the slider when I bought it, and yes it did wear out, becoming loose after about a month and ceasing to catch about about 2 months. But the actual USB drive, the part that counts, is working like a champ. I keep it on my keychain, and the little wire jump ring they sent with it pried apart, but it was easily replaced with a mini key ring I had lying around the house. While the drive slides back and forth in the plastic housing, it hasn't fallen out of it yet. If it ever does that, I'll probably still keep using it and put it in my wallet, it's that thin.
Also the matte grey coating is just paint, and has mostly worn off to show a shiny aluminum like color beneath. Not sure why they didn't just leave it that color.
Props for having the smallest form factor to storage size ratio of any USB drive I've seen. It's almost like a mini-SD.
Crap Mar 02, 2009 the slider broke in under a week. you would be better off getting something more durable.
