SlingBox Sep 05, 2010 This device would not operate with Apple TV or Slingbox. I could not get the proper support.
handy Jan 25, 2010 This was very handy and a snap to get it going, you only have to plug it in. I am using it to get internet acces to my tv. I am glad this exists and I could avoid cable lines all ove the house.
Work as promised Jan 23, 2010 Bought two sets of these and have them set-up with 3 blu-ray players and a gaming system all over the house. Plug and play; and they work on my second floor, as well as in basement, where the unit primarily supports my son's Xbox Live flawlessly. Units run a little hot, but so far nothing but solid performance.
Does not work -- do not buy Jan 06, 2010 The Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged ethernet extenders (I bought a pair) never worked for me. I wasted four hours on this supposedly plug-and-play device. The devices did not work "out of the box" at all. I googled the internet for ideas and tried them. No luck.
Expanding Your Network In A Flash!! Dec 07, 2009 I recently moved and had to start from scratch with my home Ethernet. Running an ethernet cable from the first floor to the second turned out not to be an option (think cinder block walls). My son-in-law mentioned products that extend your network via the home electrical wiring. I purchased the Netgear XE102GNA Wall-Plugged Enet Extender with some trepidation, as I am not familiar with this technology.
From the time I opened the package to the time I had an ethernet connection to my second floor Mac was about two minutes, most of which was spent walking from the ground floor to the second floor. The extenders come in pairs. I cabled the first one into my router and plugged it into a wall power outlet on the first floor. Walked upstairs, cabled the second one to my Mac ethernet port and plugged that one into the wall. Voila! Done! No S/W setup, no configuration, nothing. A great no muss, no fuss solution.
