5Works Well  Dec 31, 2008
Works very well.

The setup for the router takes a while, but it is very easy. The speed is quite impressive, and if you need a fast network, that needs to handle a lot of computers/devices, then this is defiantly something your going to want. We have three computers, and several wireless devices in our home, and they are all running faster than they did (simultaneously) before!

The only problem I had was setting up my Wireless HP printer with it. The printer was already setup for our old router; however, (in my excitement) I forgot to disconnect it from the old network before setting up the new network. Our printer was quite confused; however, I was able to reset it and connect it to the new one (with some help from HP!). Just make sure that you disconnect (and "forget" on some devices) your old network settings.

PROS:
-fast speed
-easy setup
-many options to choose from in the browser on your computer that may be useful to some people
-multiple devices on the same network
-ENERGY STAR

CONS:
-none as of now

5WiFi doesn't get easier than this..  Dec 21, 2008
Netgear must realize that most people aren't geeks. I had wanted wifi for using with a laptop and updating and downloading games for the Wii. I was up and running on a secure connection in 20 minutes. I had a little glitch that was operator error when I forgot to hook the computer running the installation disk up to the wifi but the disk walks you through all the possiblities one step at a time. Now our network is highspeed and private. I've been recommending it to the geeks I know. :)

2Router good, wireless access point not good.  Dec 09, 2008
I bought this product when I was updating my home network after my previous router died. I had also been wanting to upgrade to 802.11n . The wired router functionality has worked great. The wireless routing, however, started failing on at least a daily basis within a week of installing the unit. It basically just quits routing wireless traffic. Nothing but a hard power cycle will bring it back, and then only for a matter of hours. I could have sent it back to Netgear since it was still under warranty, but I had no replacement router. I decided I didn't want that many network eggs in one basket anyway, so I turned off its wireless antenna and bought a separate (Time Capsule) unit to serve as my wireless access point. In this role, this Netgear unit has been flawless.

2Ok so far  Dec 02, 2008
This is my first wireless-n and gigabit router. So far the speeds are awesome, way better than my AirPort Express. But thats where it ends.

CONS:
-Set up with a static IP (which I had no idea I had) from basic Comcast cable internet service was annoying. Not plug and play or easy by any means. Apple AirPort, you just plug it in and it works.
-Wireless has cut out now a few times. I reset the router and it is back up and running.
-WPA works on my Macs, WEP works on my Linux machines, but I cannot for the life of me get them both working on either WPA or WEP together. Again, my little dead AirPort Express did this just fine.
-This thing is huge. The biggest waste of space I have seen in a 4 port router in a long time. With its size you should have about 12 ethernet ports in the back and still have room.

PRO:
-Its fast
-Web based admin is nice in that its platform independent. Though, this is the same crap interface from my last netgear from 5 years ago.
-The status lights on the front are nice, the useless ones at the top are just that. Wish it was a load indicator or activity or something.
-The price is pretty decent

All in all, I might not buy it again. I like it enough to keep it for now (12 hours in) but probably will stay clear next time and most likely not buy a netgear again. I can't believe I would say it but I will take the overly locked down, proprietary software/hardware, Mac requiring, overpriced Apple product over a netgear for simple ease of use and reliability.

EDIT:
The router no longer works and only did for the first 36 hours. Returning this pile and getting a router that of course costs twice as much, but then again, you get what you pay for.

5Works Like a Champ  Nov 24, 2008
I am thrilled to finally have Wireless-N, especially in a device that puts out exceptional bandwidth. I followed the set up wizard and had no issues. Highly recommended.
