The Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter gives wireless connection capabilities to any wired Ethernet-equipped game console. The Game Adapter can be used in several different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network and a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation2 or 3, or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming -- in the same room, or all the way across the house. There is also a special "Wireless LAN Party" mode to connect several consoles at once.

4Easy to use, didn't work on my 360  Feb 10, 2010
I bought this to put in my living room and connect to a few devices. It was plug-n-play for my computer and DirecTV DVR, but for some reason I haven't figured out how to put it on my xbox. I didn't really put much effort into it, so I think I could figure out the problem if I actually messed around with it for a bit. 2/3 devices instantly is more than fine for me.

5Great As Always  Jan 30, 2010
The product came on time, there were no damges and set up went without a hitch...a perfect 10. It's working perfectly, what more could I ask for.

1Garbage. DO NOT BUY  Dec 26, 2009
I bought two of these units to download video on demand off of my direct TV sat system. I also purchased a Linksys WGA400N router in order to be certain that I was state of the art in terms of connectivity.
After hours of time with tech support we were unable to get the adapters to work. The security settings failed to get recognized by the adapters and Ikept getting reject messages. The sad thing is that every tech support person at Linksys will tell you something different and configure the adapters differently. One tech support person got things so screwed up that I ended up having to call AT&T to regain full use of my my network as all the settings were lost. $29.00 for 20 minutes (don't ask for a minute more) after 20 minutes the cost bumps up to nearly $100.00 OUCH.
This is NOT A PLUG AND PLAY deal by any stretch of the imagination. I am NO NOVICE at this and have hundreds of hours of experience dealing with networks and IT tech. The technology is less than perfect and so are the support people who are supposed to be experts on this subject.
Good luck. I think for now I will wait until the technology has improved and is more seamless.
My nerves are shot after spending hours and hours with tech support in India and the Phillipines and the USA.

5Right On Purchase  Dec 23, 2009
I needed this Linksys external wireless adapter for my blu-ray player to go on the internet. Comes with software for easy install into your wireless network. Works great would purchase it again.

5Not just for gaming  Dec 21, 2009
Any device with an ethernet port can use this device. I bought it for an older computer that I couldn't get drivers for a USB port and hooked it up works great with no changes at all.
