All Smiles !!! Feb 20, 2010 Before I purchased my product I read what others had to say about their experience in their reviews and so it made me feel more at ease to make the online purchase. I am totally satisfied with no regrets :). Great price, great quality and the truth is if anyone has set up difficulties due to lack of technical knowledge, no problem the product manufacturer does honor their support warranty and set-up is only a friendly phone call away. Oh, and I even got her phone number.

Consider another brand Feb 08, 2010 Tech support was very poor. Four different tech support calls, all using remote control of my computer, and 5 hours on the phone later, some functions worked, some never did. Something would work, then a tech call for a different problem corrected that problem but what originally worked didn't anymore. The last tech support person suggested I go out and borrow another computer! then said to send the product back for replacement. This is a brand I will avoid in the future.
Wireless Video Security Camera Review Jan 24, 2010 Excellent resolution, very clear picture. Lacks ability to pan and tilt otherwise excellent. Software was ok but still needed professional support from Geek Squad to properly configure.

Lacks support for current operating systems Jan 20, 2010 I bought this camera as a Christmas gift to myself. Then I was given Windows 7 for Christmas for my computer. I just got around to installing Windows 7 only to find the camera will not interface. I wrote Cisco to find out if they are going to put out drivers that will make the camera work with Windows 7. There answer is NO. Do not buy this camera if you plan to upgrade your Operating System to the current standard any time soon.

I got Windows 7 given to me for my computer for Christmas. I also got a WVC54GCA camera for Christmas. It seems to me I ought to return the camera unless drivers will be available for Windows 7 soon. Please advise.
Thank you,

Awesome Network Camera Jan 03, 2010 This is a great starter security camera for under $100. The picture quality is not outstanding, but is acceptable as a security camera. In low light it has a bit of trouble (which makes sense due to the lack of night vision), but it does have a checkbox to enable "Low Light Sensitivity", which works okay. In addition you can set the brightness and sharpness levels (-3, -2, -1, Normal, +1, +2, +3). I am satisfied with the quality here.
The camera works great in conjunction with the Linux "motion" utility [...] by using the "netcam" options. Technically the Linksys software comes with motion detection, but it is very limited. There is a checkbox to "Enable Motion Detection" and then you can choose to send an "Email" or upload via "FTP". The Linux motion program is much more fully featured here so I use that instead.
In response to the critics out there - the picture quality is good, not excellent. The contrast seems a bit too high, I agree, but it is really not that bad. The disconnection problems people are talking about - I have mine set up with a static IP and it has been happily streaming for days. If you can set up a router, you will be able to set up this camera; if you can't, haha, you shouldn't be looking to buy any kind of network camera out there. But seriously, it couldn't be simpler.
Bottom Line: Great product.
