Speed Jun 10, 2009 The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star rating is because I dislike the flip design. I have to grip the sides of the drive when plugging it in instead of being able firmly push it on the back. I therefore prefer capped designs. However, this drive has been fantastic in all other aspects. It is fast and I haven't had any problems with corrupted sectors. Some drives aren't fast when transferring lots of small files but this drive seems to perform acceptably at it. It also has a pretty blue LED that lights up when data are being transferred.
Nice device Apr 29, 2009 I was looking for a replacement storage device for my old Sony flash drive...one that had more memory, security for my data, and tougher to withstand most abuse. And this Kingston seems to deliver on all points; seems bc I haven't had a need to put it to use yet. The quality of the materials seems nice and has a tough case. Just two minor complaints: sometimes it takes more time to swivel the drive out from the case, and the security feature is a bit daunting bc it asks how much of the drive you want to have password protected...well I'm not sure. Maybe all of it, but then again, I can see how leaving some unprotected would be good just to use as very temporary storage and quickly be able to copy it, etc.
I use it a lot, I love it Apr 17, 2009 I really love this USB flash memory. Works really fast, I use it for a fast transfer of big files and readyboost sometimes.
Planning on installing Ubuntu on it anytime soon.
Haven't experienced any type of data loss or poor quality.
The cap can be a little fragile, so it needs to be taken care of in order to not let it loose easily (a friend of mine had that problem).

Convenient and Easy to Use Mar 27, 2009 I bought this about a month ago and it has been very nice. The flip design is convenient and guards the contact end of the drive pretty well. Data transfer is quick. I have not used the security features, so I cannot comment on that aspect of it.
The only thing about this that I don't like is the ring that hooks to the end of the drive so that you can attach it to a keyring. This tiny ring is hard to work with and seems weaker that I think it is. I originally tried hooking the ring to a quick connect (springloaded) keychain so that I could get it off quickly. However, because the ring is so thin, it kept slipping through the crack of the spring latch mechanism on my keyring. I was unable to hook a larger ring to the drive itself, so I have since hooked the drive's ring to a larger ring that then attaches to my keyring using the quick connect. This works fine, but causes the drive to dangle lower than I'd like while driving.
Overall this was a good purchase and I would buy it again.
One of the best! Mar 08, 2009 This flash drive is great. Works well with Windows Vista. It is fast enough. It is also stylish for those who care about this. It is a little bigger than usual, but it is expected from its capacity. You can not put it in your key chain, but I did not want to do it in the first place.
