no service Oct 28, 2008 MP3 player died after three days, coby wanted a postal money order to even look at player, add postage to this, and it wasn't worth the effort.
Bought a new one at local store.
Junque Oct 05, 2008 Bought this item in August, by the end of September it won't play any music. The "play" switch turns the device on, but won't cause it to play music, and won't turn it off (I have to remove the battery for it to go off).
Even when it was working, the navigation was so awkward as to make it almost unusable. Strongly suggest another product!

Unpredictable Sep 25, 2008 I bought two of these; one was for my wife and one for myself. Not all of the music I downloaded onto it works. It is really frustrating because I've been able to download onto other MP3s. And, I'm not real happy about trying to flip through all the different songs in order to find one I want to listen to. It kind of takes things back to the old cassette tape days. I didn't think that would be such a big deal, but after several uses, it has started to bother me.
I've actually lost interest in using this MP3. I will save a little money and buy a better unit next time.

cheap basic mp3 player Sep 11, 2008 If you are looking for a basic, no bells and whistles type of mp3 player I recommend this one. It's cheap and so far (1 month in) it works fine. It's survived a couple of drops.
I love the dual usage of it as a flashdrive. I only wish I bought the 4 gb version (only slightly more expensive). Now there are no playlists in this player. It will play randomly or a subfolder. So you can reconfigure your folders to make a playlist.
One annoying thing I haven't figured out is how the files are sorted and how to resort them because it's not alphabetical. Minor.

Not all that great Aug 17, 2008 I purchased 2 of these one for myself and one for my wife and it didn't take long for the problems to develop. The first music I put on them were MP3's from my HD and they copied over with no problem at all. However when I downloaded some music from Amazon and tried to load it on I got an error message. After a call to MP3 customer service I thought I had the problem resolved by doing a copy via WMP. A couple of days later I downloaded some more MP3's from Amazon and when I tried to copy the music on to the player I once again got an error message. I have had no problem with tracks I take off a CD and rip to MP3 using Cool Edit Pro. So for now I have abandoned attempting to use downloaded music. Secondly the players have a serious channel seperation problem. The playback is very heavy to the right channel. I have checked this problem with the ear buds that came with it, some ear buds I bought and head phones all were heavy right on both of the players. Last if you do buy this player invest in some other ear buds or headphones as the ear buds that come with it are very very very tinny. They sound almost like the little earbud that would come with an old transistor radio back in the 60's. If you were a friend of mine looking for an MP3 player I would tell you to avoid this one.
