Just connect it to your PCs USB port and enjoy incredible high-speed wireless network access, at unheard-of distances distances. The Wireless-N USB Network Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-Ns Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce dead spots in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than standard Wireless-G. With Wireless-N, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the throughput can be increased even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds up to 12 times as fast as standard Wireless-G. | | | |

Worked for internet, drops too much to play games Jul 30, 2010 I bought this piece of equipment so I could play Starcraft 2 on the Computer in my room which didn't have internet. It worked fine for internet use, but it just isn't sufficient for gaming use. It actually has nothing to do with how fast the connection is. It is a fast connection. However about 1 in 10 games I get dropped from. That is annoying enough that I have no choice but to bring in a 30 foot Cable and hardwire the computer.
I love it! Apr 15, 2010 I am competely happy with this purchase. It took less than 10 minutes to get the software downloaded and the adapter up and running. I haven't had a problem with this product or any other prodcut from Cisco. I currently use a Cisco phone system and netwrok router for work, and chose to purchase Cisco products for my home as well. Great investment!
For the Novice Installer Feb 23, 2010 It has been a long while since I've installed a networking system. At best it was a pain and the reliability/compatability was always questionable. This is truly a plug and play product. If you can put gas in your car there is absolutely no reason why you cannot install this on your own. I've had it for a few weeks now and it works flawlessly.
I love it Feb 01, 2010 it's really good to use where you are not able to have internect connection even though you have internet connection in your house.
Great adapter! Jan 20, 2010 This adapter enables me to get onto our wireless network on a different floor, with the signal going diagonally down through walls, a rock/metal fireplace, the washer and dryer, and into a closet! It is plugged into my computer with the USB cable. I did need to put it up on a shelf and secure it in one direction to get the best signal. It went from 1 bar to 3-4 bars when I adjusted the location and antenna direction (use the base and do this!).
Our router is a Linksys WRT300N, but since we have other computers in the house that are b/g, the router is set to "Mixed". I think this would get an even better signal if the router were able to be set to "Wireless N only".
