Works well for me Jul 15, 2010 I've used this router for the past two years and have been very pleased with it. It is robust, relatively easy to use, and reliable. I would not recommend it to anyone who is a complete novice to home networking, but people who feel comfortable with computers and peripherals should not have major problems setting it up and using it. That being said, the router web interface feels rather clunky and not easy to figure out. The more more non-standard features are particularly hard to configure. There is not enough documentation to guide you, either on the included CD or online. The customer service and the technical support has been fairly friendly and helpful though, and if you are having problems with any one of the features they will be able to help you out.
The USB storage link is one of my favorite features of this router. I've had a 1TB external hard drive attached to it and it has been really useful to be able to access all of my files from anywhere on the home network. There were a few buggy features with the setup, but once I figured them out the storage has been reliable and accessible for all of the past two years.
The WiFi features of this router are outstanding, and I've been able to enjoy fast, reliable WiFi access from anywhere in my house and the surrounding back yard. The WiFi is fast and powerful enough to stream uninterrupted high definition video to multiple devices at the same time. I only wish it would be possible to completely turn off the WiFi without turning off the internet connection altogether. This would be a useful safety feature when you go on a vacation for instance.
I've used this router with my Acer Aspire AH340-UA230N Home Server and TiVo TCD648250B Series3 HD Digital Media Recorder. It has worked flawlessly with both of them. In particular, it has enabled me to access my home server from various locations away from home. Both upload and download speeds were very good.
One of the least appealing features of this router is its form factor. The multiple antennas may give you some geek cred, but they are not the most sightly thing to see in your home. From what I understand Linksys has eliminated those protruding antennas from their recent models, and that is a very welcome development.
Overall I have been very satisfied with this router and would recommend it for use in home and small businesses.
Monster router May 13, 2010 Really a sturdy monster dual band-dual radio router, ABGN signals, three antennas, two different radios!
As soon as i got it i flashed with DD-WRT firmware and now is a Formula 1 machine, you can raise the Tx on each radio independetely, choose N only or mixed, same with G, B or A in 2.5 Ghz or in 5 Ghz, incredible radio tunning up for each enviroment, great range and extremelly fast downloads and capable for more than 50 megas internet. Has a USB port where i plugged a flash drive, not vey easy to make it work but googling a bit was done. Never had a reliability issue with it, never lost signal.
Linksys WRT600N Linksys Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Storage Link Feb 12, 2010 This is my first wireless router and I must say that it's fantastic. I didn't need any help (from customer service) to set it up and I've had it for a little while now (over a year and a half). I didn't even experience the slightest of problems that so many people have been complaining about (even though I've heard mostly good things about this router before I got it). And I feel that much more auspicious because I got it for a lot less than its MSRP. Everything I own that has wireless capabilities is connected to it and I rarely have connection problems (pertaining to the router itself). I also like the design as it reminds me of the beautiful PS3 black piano glossy finish, which is also the same texture my TV has (the Sony Bravia XBR-Series KDL-52XBR5 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV is the set that I own, which is also my first HDTV and I think it's perfect just like me and my original 60gb PS3).

WRT600N has major throughput problems! Jan 17, 2010 I highly suggest consumers stay away from this router. Even with the latest firmware updates this model inherently has an issue of losing throughput over time. The only fix is to perform a renew/release on your IP or a hard recycle of the router by unplugging it. Search the web and you'll find this issue is very prevalent with this particular model. I DO NOT recommend purchasing this router.
Only lasted 1 1/2 years. Nov 22, 2009 I bought this router based on the reviews at the time and they were pretty good. In fact the router has worked flawlessly until just the other day. It was slowly dying. I'm using high speed cable internet and noticed my internet speed was very slow. You Tube videos were taking forever to load. Running an internet speed test I found that my internet speed was about 1/4 of what it should be. At first I suspected the cable modem, but after resetting it, the problem still existed. Then I reset the router and the speed would return to normal, but only for a few hours. I flashed the router with the latest Linksys firmware which did not help. Cleared all the settings back to factory and started from scratch, and still no joy. Did some research and found that someone else had the exact same problem with this unit - he was advised by Linksys to replace the router. Rather than fussing with it anymore, especially with some of the more recent reviews, I ended up just replacing the router and I'm back to normal. Sad it only lasted 18 months.
