 It's a protective case, not a briefcase! Aug 23, 2010
If you are looking for a briefcase or a messenger bag this is not the product you want. And based on some of the reviews here folks seem to expect a lot from what is essentially a "protective case" for your Asus Eee PC 1000HA, or similar same size netbook. I'm amazed that someone, at least not yet, hasn't complained that they can't fit their lunch and and a Thermos in this case. Netbooks are nice because they are small and light compared to a full size laptop and you get 8 times more run time on a battery compared to a laptop. And how did we all carry around our laptops? Well most of us used briefcases, some so large they had wheels, and most students and travelers use a backpack. And I would guess that that is still how you will carry around your netbook if you use it for work or school. Yes we need the power box and cable and a mouse comes in handy, but I also need to carry files, pens, order forms, samples, pitch books, glasses, my cell phone charger and a bluetooth. So if you are one of the fortunate few that just needs a netbook for fun this case should work well for you. I don't carry the external DVD Drive since I rarely used it on my laptop during a normal day unless I had to load software. The Asus Eee PC 1000HA fits very nicely in this case, yes its a tight fit, that's because its purposely built to fit the Asus Eee PC 1000HA. The memory foam does push down on the netbook when you button it up, thats how a memory foam case protects your equipment. I have several memory foam cases that came with some very expensive and delicate equipments and you can't fit a piece of paper between the top and bottom of the foam when the case is closed but somehow it's able to conform to the 5 inch to 8 inch thick equipment that goes in those cases. I like this case because it doesn't take up a lot of room on my clients desk and it offers more protection, and looks more professional than a neoprene sleeve. If you need more room get a netbook messenger bag, still smaller than a briefcase but more room and neater looking that stuffing the small pocket on this case. Something like the ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook CaseCrown Vertical Multi Pocket Messenger Bag - Black. It's only a few dollars more than this case and it should carry everything you need and still look good doing it.

After looking for a case for the Acer Aspire One netbook, I found this 10-inch case. I'm glad I did. This case looks good, and has a convenient pouch to fit a power cord, mouse, and earbuds.
Four straps hold the computer in place inside the case (two clear plastic straps at the top, two black elastic straps at the bottom). A netbook fits snugly inside, with sturdy padding for protection. Removing the netbook from the case when stationary is recommended to avoid overheating. Also, when carrying, always zip up both sides of the case, and get a replacement power cord shorter than the one that's included with your netbook for an easier fit in the pouch.
This is a good choice at a good price. Recommended.

I bought this for my Asus Eee PC T101MT, I did discover a way to fit the netbook, the charger, and the ASUS USB 2.0 8x DVD Writer External Optical Drive SDRW-08D1S-U (Black) in it (put charger w/ netbook, makes it bulky but it works). The only reason I took off a star is because when I swivel the screen to tablet mode while still in case it is uncomfortable to hold. There are other cases out there I am comparing right now to decide to keep and use, so far this case is #3, so it won't make the cut.
I will say this though; the case looks and feels good to the touch, but just a little bit to much material to keep it from being what I need it to be: a case where I don't have to remove my netbook once in tablet mode.
