 Great for sending faxes Feb 19, 2010
Recently bought a HP 2140 Fax from Amazon that would not send when first set up. It's sitting in its' box by my office wall while HP decides what to do with it. Just picked up a Brother 575 yesterday and it sends flawlessly which is what I need.If you need a Fax for mainly sending, pick one up for the $ 19.99 Special while you can.

although they adv. you can use tam if you do hook up tel answer machine you cannot receive fax. false advertising.

DO NO BUY THIS if you do NOT have touch tone dialing. You will not be able to fax out. Why is this not stated in the Product / Technical features? I cannot use this machine and got Zero satisfaction from Brother and Amazon. Watch out what you buy!

This fax machine was meant to replace an old one that my parents (over 75) had for many years and broke beyond repair. They are not very tech-savvy; now that simple phone/fax machines are not that easy to find anymore, this one was a great finding. Good price, does the job, my folks appreciate it.

If you need a good little fax machine, this IS the one! easy to use, fast set up and no hassles. The first thing that grabs you about this little fax machine is the price. Then you read the reviews and maybe think twice about ordering.... but I think some of the reviews about this model are unfair.
I mean really, It has everything you could want for the price! Sure the sound of the phone is a little tiny bit fuzzy, but that's it! If your gonna spend a lot of time on the phone, BUY a good phone! but if your gonna use this little sucker for faxing...It's a great deal!
The second thing that grabs you is the size...Perfect for a busy desktop, just the right size to tuck away in a corner or on a small phone stand.
The power cord is built right in, no bulky a/c adapter to lose or block up other plugs in outlets. The third thing that's the kicker is the design, its a little flashy for its price, looks good and functions extremely well. You won't believe all the functions! It has everything the big huge ones have in a tiny package, it's even smaller than it looks!
